Running a family business means wearing a lot of hats, but every now and then, it also means taking a little time to simply be a family.

Thank you to each and every one of our clients for your patience while we enjoyed a much needed vacation together. Your understanding allowed us to make memories we’ll never forget.

Now it’s time to get back to what we love. We’re responding to emails, returning phone calls, scheduling estimates, and getting parking lots and driveways completed.

When people see this picture, they might see a kid sitting on the back of a work truck. I see so much more.

I see a little boy who has always wanted to be right beside me. I see curiosity, kindness, a willingness to learn, and a heart that makes me proud every single day.

People may think Moffett & Sons was built so one day you could take over. But that was never my dream for you.

My dream is that you grow into the same incredible soul you are today. That you stay humble. That you stay kind. That you work hard, love deeply, and never lose the part of yourself that makes people feel better just by being around you.

Owning a small business isn’t for everyone, but I wouldn’t want this life any other way.

This picture says more than words ever could.

I look at my wife and my daughter out there checking job sites, meeting clients, talking through projects, putting together quotes, and representing everything Moffett & Sons stands for and I feel an overwhelming sense of pride.

Owning a small business takes a piece of you. It takes your time, your energy, your patience, your weekends, your late nights, and a whole lot of faith. There are sacrifices, challenges, and moments of doubt that most people never see.

But then there are moments like this, moments where you look around and realize you aren’t building this alone.

Maggie has been beside me through every step of this journey. She has helped carry this dream, helped grow this company, and has a way of connecting with people that can’t be taught. She builds relationships, earns trust, and reminds every client that behind the name Moffett & Sons is a family that truly cares.

And Maddie, watching you grow up around this business is something I will always cherish. You’re seeing firsthand what hard work looks like. You’re learning that showing up matters, that pride matters, and that anything worth building takes dedication and heart.
