Double J just celebrated 10 years in business! 🎉
Did you know that around 65% of small businesses fail to survive past 10 years? Especially here in Vermont. A small rural state where competition is tough and staffing is hard to come by.
Running a small business is harder than it seems. Both physically & mentally. We have learned a lot along the way.
In case you're new to finding us here are some facts about us: 👇🏼
We started out of a car, with a push mower and hung flyers at local businesses around the area with pull tabs. We did all the small jobs that not a lot of others would do and grew relationships with customers that (some) we still have to this day!
In August 2016 Double J Landscaping & Odd Jobs, LLC became our official business name. 🧾
We were able to buy an old Ford pick up truck and a second hand ride on lawn mower. From there we have been through a few trucks and lots of equipment, figuring out what suits our business the best.
In 2023, we finally had business shirts made and we have rocked them ever since! 👕
We have helped countless animals while working outside, some that we have brought to a local rehab the same day.🦅
Oh, and we can't forget to mention that Zoey, our dog, has come to work with us almost everyday and enjoys all the company that she has met; in particular the best treat givers! 🐶
We can't thank all of our customers enough through all the years, we have met some amazing people! Have learned a lot, through trying times. Lost some jobs and gained some. Added new services and taken some away. The business is what it is today from all our reliable customers and our hard work and dedication through it all!
