10 minutes of tape removal in under 1 minute. This is my favorite part. Hoping to do some more Geometric accent walls again soon. These are a lot of fun to create.

The final Mural: Moses headed down the Nile. As found in Exodus chapter 2 1-10. I decided to paint this scene several months ago. Even, after the accident when I didn't know if I would make it or not. I wanted to paint a scene in Africa that happened in Africa. This is also a story of Hope. A story of love and sacrifice. It also tells us God will save and protect us. I also attempted to paint my first basket weave. Something I've been wanting to try. Also me and Bonnie ripped up individual pieces of tape and created all the stars. A local who does nails helped me touch them up after we peeled the tape off. It was a full hands on project for spending basically less than 4 days on this.
When I arrived at the Marindi Grace Academy I didn't know some of these children were also orphaned. I believe it makes this story more important. I spent many nights on this wall. Even up till 2 am one night. I wanted to put everything I could into this one. In a corridor the kids walk through everyday. I had help from other Hands2Serve team members and even a few locals got a few minutes here and there. Two guys helped me prep and paint the entire wall white. I taped off the design. Children from our team helped me paint. We did a paint by numbers. I added a spot of color on all the shapes. I then let them help me fill it in. Most shapes have 2-3 coats of paint. Some of the thickest paint I ever did see. Had to water it down to use. Huge thanks to Sherwin-Williams for providing all the frog tape, brushes and mini rollers and handles to do the work. Hands2Serve providing the Paint. Thanks to Pastor Fred and Dr Benna Kotch for trusting me with this project. I also had sponsorship from Elevate Property Solutions a great Christian company in Ohio. Last but not least, the pastors and members of New Life Baptist Church who Prayed and also gave sponsorship for this trip. Together we all came together and left many smiles in a little place called Migori Kenya. Thank you for looking. Thanks for the prayers and support. We will do it again in 2028!!!! Check out all the photos to see the entire process.

I will be posting the 3rd and final mural from Africa when I get home later. Stay tuned. Next stop: Pittsburgh!!!!

The next mural was a 2 part Mural. I'm going to show then separately. This is the School we stayed at. Therefore I had more time to bigger ideas. This is part of an outside corridor. The kids to whom many are orphaned walk through this space ever day. I created the Kenyan flag with a message the children need to be reminded of everyday. I then placed a cross on each side. Triangles and added 2 hand prints. Two reasons. One put your hands up and praise God. The second reason was this is a project via Hands2Serve missions. (Please follow and support them.) One the left side Dr. Benna Kotch signed the hand. Hands 2 serve 2026. On the right side I signed my name. My signature for both murals. As you'll see there was enough going on in the next mural. Thanks for looking. Thanks to Skyler for her extra hours assisting on this one. Micheal also helped. Pictured also is me with Dr. Benna and Pastor Fred who runs the Maldrini Grace Academy.

Ok so we pulled off 3 murals in 5 days with help from the Hands2Serve team. I designed the patterns and selected where each color should go. We then played a giant game of paint by numbers. I want to show this one first. It was the last one completed and has the least amount of hours. 6 hours on location. Probably around 20 actual man hours approximately. I did the school name. A giant cross and a hit air balloon. The theme is with God you can continue to go higher. It's all about what happened on the cross. The pattern is similar to the one I created at New life church last December. This is the School that Dr. Benna Kotch has helped build. It was an honor to add some color to this school for the children who loved watching the process unfold. The man of the school was very pleased. (Photo shaking hands) also a contributing source was Dr. Corry from salt lake City seen with me and Dr. Benna also out of Grove City, Momentum Chiropractic . If you made it this far. Please follow and support Hands 2 Serve. Non profit missions for Kenya. Stay posted for the next 2. Also shout out to GC Sherwin-Williams for supplying the Tape rollers and brushes for this project.
