me job with the DOL did not keep him from continuing to service his long list of landscape clients in the southeastern Connecticut market, mowing lawns, trimming trees, sealing driveways, laying patios, painting, etc. Jon became involved in the fence business through his friend from UCONN. He saw the growing need for a fence company in the southeastern Connecticut area, and the idea snowballed. Jon resigned from the Department of Labor, gave up his landscape business, and founded what is now known as Luther Fence.
