arden and fish ponds, waterfalls, and fountains During the winter, we provide commercial plowing We work with commercial and residential customers from Boston northwest into southern New Hampshire. We operate our own nursery to provide high-quality fully-acclimated plants year-round at reasonable wholesale rates. And we're fully insured. Contact us to discuss your project! I have owned and operated Earth-scape, Inc since 1984. For 28 years I have listened to and met customer's needs, wants and desires across 100s of difficult and rewarding landscape challenges. This experience has enforced the following principles : Functionality Year-round gratification Integration into existing environment to provide a natural appearance We uphold these principles allowing us to achieve our most important goal, exceeding your needs. Our projects often use native stone both as a construction material and a design element. We use it in wall construction, create paths, driveway borders, and to anchor displays of plants. Our water features are usually built with stone as well. Stone and water always work well together in ponds, fountains, waterfalls, and pool areas. When we are not making water beautiful, we also manage it. We always pay attention to drainage and irrigation requirements when we design every project, and tackle many jobs that simply drain or move water. The finishing touch to many projects is the plants flowers, shrubs, and trees. I started out with a solid academic foundation in horticulture, and over the years, I've learned the types of native and acclimated plants that work in New England's many micro-climates. We use plants that suit your home or business for the long term, both aesthetically and are as easy as possible to maintain. We raise many of out plants in our own nursery, in Groton, Massachusetts, so everything is winter-hardy and well acclimated. We purchase the plants that we do not grow from a select group of area nurseries that produce northern-grown stock that thrives in New England. Care and attention to detail allows our plantings to yield the greatest benefits for the customer. Give me a call, and we will talk about your project and show you the Earth-scape difference. I know some of you must know the story of the Foo bird. Do you know what happens if it takes a crap on you and what you’re supposed to do? I wonder if there’s a story that goes with the female praying mantis though? That said this one’s on our front screen just hanging out. Maybe she’s looking for a male mate? You know when they mate after they’re done the female eats the male. Crazy dinosaur friggin Vulcan type thing huh. Maybe it’s more Klingon than Vulcan. Y’all have any thoughts?

June is the the time to prune shrubs and some trees after flowering. Rhododendrons, laurels, andromedas and others will benefit in flower budding for next year if you remove the dead flower bracts. This makes way for the unobstructed path for the new buds. It is also a good time to remove sucker growth, crossing branches and dead wood from your ornamental trees. If you can do this yourself, great. If not contact us to have our skillful staff perform this work. It will enhance your yard with beautiful results.
