Why did my Air Conditioner drain line have a blockage???

HVAC condensate slime is a gelatinous, white, or clear bacterial growth (often Zoogloea bacteria) that thrives in the dark, damp environment of your AC drain pan. It feeds on airborne dust passing through the system. This sludge can easily clog your drain lines, leading to system shutdowns or costly water damage from overflow.
Clearing that blockage & pouring bleach in the drain does not eliminate the problem, it literally just moves the problem down the proverbial road till it happens again. which will not be long that point

When I try to explain this to people I usually get the look of I'm tossing a line of malarkey.
in the 1st picture, when it comes to cleanliness, this outdoor unit coil looks pretty fair....Yes? The dust pile in the 2nd picture came out of the coil when it was vibrated.....thats some prime garden soil when it was swept up and dumped into a 5 gallon bucket.
this is the time of year the cleanliness of you air conditioner causes that less than comfortable feeling you not only want, but expect!!
