4 weeks.
After almost a year of living a nightmare I never imagined, we’re finally 4 weeks away from Pedro’s reinterview in Ciudad Juárez.
I honestly don’t know how we’ve made it this far, I can only tell you it through God carrying me.
For almost a year, my husband has missed birthdays, holidays, firsts, bedtime hugs, goodnight kisses, and countless ordinary moments that most families never have to think twice about. He has watched our children grow through a phone screen. He wasn’t here to hold my hand through some of the hardest moments of my life. He wasn’t here to help welcome our precious baby girl into the world. Instead, he’s had to love us from hundreds of miles away while we both try to convince our children that Daddy is coming home.
Every day has been a choice to keep going.
There have been nights I’ve cried myself to sleep after the kids were finally in bed. Days where I smiled for them while completely falling apart inside. Financial stress. Raising four children alone. Trying to keep our family business alive. Trying to be both mom and dad. Trying to stay strong while feeling completely exhausted.
Pedro has spent this past year doing everything that was asked of him. He has waited. He has prayed. He has obeyed every requirement. And now, after what has felt like the longest year of our lives, we’re praying this is finally the moment that changes everything.
If you’ve followed our journey from the beginning, thank you. Your prayers have carried us farther than you’ll ever know.
Today, I’m asking for them again.
Please pray that his medical exam goes well.
Please pray that his interview is successful.
Please pray that every door God wants opened is opened.
Please pray that there are no more delays, no more unexpected obstacles, and no more reasons for our family to remain separated.
Our children deserve their daddy home.
Pedro deserves to come home.
We deserve to finally sit around the same dinner table, worship together, laugh together, and simply be a family again.
If our story has touched your heart, would you help us one last time by sharing this post? The more people praying, the better. And if you feel led to support us financially as we prepare for travel, hotels, transportation, medical expenses, and the final costs of bringing Pedro home, every single donation—no matter the amount—is a blessing we will never take for granted.
We’ve come too far to lose hope now.
Please stand with us during these next five weeks. Pray boldly. Share our story. Believe with us that God is writing the final chapter of this long season of waiting.
We are believing that the next time I make a post about Pedro… it will be to tell you he’s finally HOME.
