I was told at a young age by one of my teachers in elementary school that some people are best at working with their hands. Yup. I now fully agree with her. I’ve been working on cars and with wood with my father since I was tiny. He gave me the passion to restore and create out of a necessity to make life better for us. He is my hero. These are a few of the cars we have restored over the years together. I take on the mechanical, he makes them beautiful. And we still own the truck he bought the year I was born and I own the first car I ever bought. Both are being restored right now.

One day my shop is a wood shop. The next it’s a metal fabrication shop. Today’s it’s a paint booth. And the other half of shop stays as our automotive restoration area. Love my shop!

New tools are neat and probably more user friendly than others but old tools can give so much more and have tons of character. I restored this mid 1960’s router/mill/press that was given to me by my brother in law. It was his fathers. Every time I turn it on, I think of what was done or built with it over the years. I’m sure it will last so my son could restore it again one day. And maybe he will think of all the things that I have built with it.
