Why does my furnace keep turning on and off before my house gets warm? 🔥🏠

🔧 Wade’s Tip: This is often called short cycling. Start by checking your air filter and make sure your thermostat is set correctly. A dirty filter can restrict airflow and cause problems with how your heating system operates.

If your furnace continues turning on and off frequently, don’t ignore it. There could be an airflow, thermostat, electrical, safety-control, or other heating system issue that needs to be properly diagnosed.

Can a dirty air filter make my AC stop cooling properly? ❄️🏠

🔧 Wade’s Tip: Yes. A dirty HVAC filter can restrict airflow and make your heating and cooling system work harder than it should. Check your filter regularly, especially during the hottest and coldest months when your system is running more often.

A simple filter change may help improve airflow. But if you install a clean filter and your home is still not cooling evenly, your AC keeps running, or the airflow from your vents feels weak, there could be another HVAC problem causing it.

Why is my furnace running but not heating my house properly? 🔥

🔧 Wade’s Tip: Start with the simple things. Check that your thermostat is set to HEAT, make sure the temperature is set above the current room temperature, and take a look at your air filter. A dirty filter can restrict airflow and cause your heating system to struggle.

If you’ve checked those things and your furnace is still blowing cool air, cycling on and off, making unusual noises, or not keeping your home warm, there may be an electrical, airflow, ignition, or other system issue that needs to be diagnosed.

Why does my thermostat say 72° but my house still feels hot? 🌡️❄️

🔧 Wade’s Tip: First, make sure your thermostat is set to COOL and the fan is set to AUTO. Then check your air filter and make sure furniture or rugs aren’t blocking your vents.

If the temperature in your home still won’t reach what you have set on the thermostat, the problem may not be the thermostat itself. Airflow problems, ductwork, or an issue with your AC system could be keeping your home from cooling properly.

Why is my AC running but not getting my house cold enough? ❄️

🔧 Wade’s Tip: Before assuming your AC needs refrigerant, check your air filter, make sure all your supply vents are open, and look around the outdoor unit for grass, leaves, or debris blocking airflow.

If your AC is running constantly, blowing warmer air, struggling on hot days, or you notice ice on the refrigerant lines, don’t just keep lowering the thermostat. The system may need to be properly checked to find out what’s actually causing the problem.

🔧 Wade’s Tip: First, make sure your thermostat is set to COOL and check your air filter. A dirty filter can restrict airflow and make your AC struggle to cool your home. Also make sure the outdoor unit isn’t blocked by grass, leaves, or debris.

Well… I finally made it to Facebook! 😂

Hey y’all, Wade here. 👋

I’m 70 years old, been in the heating & air business for over 50 years, and apparently fixing air conditioners wasn’t enough… now they’ve got me learning Facebook too. 🤣

I remember when “following” somebody meant you were driving behind them, a “post” held up a fence, and the only “cloud” we worried about meant rain was coming. 😂

But I’m keeping up with the times!

I’ve spent most of my life helping families stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter, and now I’ll be sharing some of that experience right here.

So do an old HVAC man a favor and FOLLOW Wade’s Heating & AC Services. 👍
