On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, GH Phipps employees delivered donated arts and crafts supplies to Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus, wrapping up a fundraising and donation drive that began in early September. GH Phipps team members working on projects at the hospital joined the effort, helping unload the trucks and transport supplies to the hospital’s storage area.

Arts and crafts provide patients and their families with a creative outlet and a welcome distraction during their hospital stay. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, money, and supplies to make this drive a success and support the patients and families at Children’s Hospital Colorado!

On Monday, the Auraria Safety Center project team celebrated the project's topping out with Auraria Campus, Anderson Mason Dale, trade partners, and campus police. Attendees had the chance to sign the steel beam that was placed atop the structure.

The Safety Center is a new, 30,000 square-foot building that will house the Campus Police. It includes controlled entryways, holding cells, offices, a fitness center, and a secure parking lot. It also includes several classrooms for continuing education and training.

"Many of our team members attended school on this campus, so the connection to the work is meaningful and full circle. We are committed to this campus and this project and truly enjoy spending time here building and connecting with staff and students," said Todd Ruff, GH Phipps President and CEO.

Congratulations to the team on this milestone. We can't wait to see this project continue to come to life!

Last week, five GH Phipps employees spent the day at Transportation Construction Girl (TCG) Day in Golden, sharing their passion for the industry and passing on a love for STEM.

GH Phipps has participated in TCG Day for the past five years with the goal of introducing young women to the construction industry. It is the largest transportation and construction initiative for girls, bringing together nearly 2,000 girls from elementary school to high school.

Our favorite part of the event is working hands-on with participants to show them what their future could look like. This year, at our GH Phipps booth, the girls had the opportunity to use a screw gun, providing them with an immersive experience. We are so grateful for the opportunity to sponsor and participate in this event, and we can’t wait to return next year!

We are still collecting donations for our Children's Hospital Colorado Arts and Crafts Fundraiser until next Friday, October 9th! To contribute, you can purchase supplies through the Amazon wishlist or donate to our Venmo account dedicated to the fundraiser. Supplies purchased through Amazon will be shipped to GH Phipps, and any monetary donations will be used to purchase arts and crafts supplies. All supplies will be delivered to Children's Hospital Colorado at the end of the drive.

GH Phipps was proud to sponsor and participate in Southern Colorado Construction Career Days on September 10th, an event we have participated in for more than 10 years. The event, dedicated to introducing the construction industry to the next generation, brought together 700+ students from various school districts in the Southern Colorado area. During the event, the students had hands-on experience building toolboxes with the guidance of GH Phipps employees. We partnered with the Local 555 to bring awareness to the apprenticeships and employment opportunities available after high school. We can’t wait for next year!

This week, GH Phipps is participating in Construction Su***de Prevention Week to raise awareness about the risk of su***de within the construction industry. Construction remains one of the industries most affected by su***de, driven by a combination of workplace, cultural, and personal factors.

At GH Phipps, safety means more than protecting our people on the jobsite, it also means looking out for their well-being and safety of the mind. We are committed to supporting su***de prevention and creating a culture where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical safety.

Our team hit the streets of Windsor this Labor Day for the 104th Annual Harvest Festival Parade — Northern Colorado's largest, and one of our favorite community traditions. Our crew walked alongside our trucks, waving to neighbors, clients, and friends who lined the parade route.

It was a great day to welcome fall with community, color, candy, and spirit!
