Clients ask about pocket doors all the time. Sometimes it’s not even a request it’s just a little comment about how they want their current swinging door replaced with a pocket one. You know, kind of like “I want a lever door handle instead of a round door knob.” Easy peasy 🙌 Only, it’s not that simple. Pocket doors require framing changes and other considerations that need to be planned for. Watch and see… 🎥

What is a Permit Pause & is permitting your next project worth it? Clients always want to know if they have to apply for a permit. Short answer…yes…if you’re changing the structure, electrical, mechanical or plumbing in your home. Just updating finishes, nope, probably not. The purpose of a permit is to ensure your safety. Inspections hold contractors responsible for building to code, allow for an independent review of the work, and protects the monetary value of the investment you’re making in your home. It also helps you avoid warranty issues, insurance claim denial and problems when it is time to sell your home.

Construction continues on our Primary Bath renovation with plumbing rework, framing modifications and new framing going up. It’s taking shape!

Week One of our Primary Bath Renovation is complete 🙌 I am looking forward to quieter days ahead 🤫 So much was accomplished, including demo, reworking plumbing runs, adding a new window, replacing another window and prepping for future framing modifications.
