Happy National Public Gardens Day!🏞️

Today we celebrate the importance of public gardens to all communities. Public gardens offer opportunities to spend time in nature, learn about the environment around us, and appreciate the beauty of this world. They provide visitors with spaces for all types of experiences, whether you are looking for a peaceful walk in the outdoors or a place to gather with friends.

Earth Design had the opportunity to design a section of the South Carolina Botanical Garden. Located within the Heritage Garden landscape, our design showcases one of South Carolina’s niche habits: the granite outcrop. These habitats are found within the Piedmont region, and are characterized by expanses of granite home to resilient herbaceous-lichen plant communities.

We’re heartbroken by the devastation from Hurricane Helene. While the Earth Design team is safe, our hearts go out to everyone affected, especially our neighbors in western North Carolina.
