I will be contacting all of our customers individually in the next few days but I just wanted to let you all know that Brook was in an accident on Sunday while playing with Walker in the ocean. He suffered a pretty severe spinal cord injury and is currently at MUSC. We have wonderful employees who are keeping everything running. We have had other landscapers reach out and are willing to help us in any way we may need. Please bear with us as we are focusing on Brook's recovery. We will do our best to make sure there is no interruption of services. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Wondering what those brown dead spots are in your grass? They are caused by a fungus called Brown Patch and are extremely difficult to control. We typically do not treat for it as the fungicides are not only very expensive but are easily washed away due to our daily afternoon rain showers. Once the temperatures and humidity subside, it will be time for aeration and overseeding and your Fescue will shine once again. For more information, check out this article from Clemson University.

I would also add Vinca to this list. It comes in three varieties: Vinca minor which has small foliage, Vinca major which has larger foliage than the minor and varigated. They produce beautiful light purple blooms. Once established, they are very drought tolerant.
