Yesterday’s severe storms left damage across parts of York County.

If you’re checking your home today, start with what you can safely see from the ground.

Look inside for new moisture or staining. Check your roofline, gutters, siding and windows from the ground. Look around the yard for shingles, exterior materials or debris. And if something looks different, take photos and document where you found it.

Seeing something after a storm doesn’t automatically tell you what caused it or what needs to be done.

Observe first. Document what you see. Then get answers.
