Working hard on our current repair! We’re replacing an entire system due to age and damage, the tank was old and brittle, with cracks throughout, and drain field was at capacity. New plastic primary tank and a fiberglass ATU tank were installed, both tanks with risers and dome lids to finish grade. The new drain field is a conventional system with 4” corrugated plastic perforated pipes that are embedded into to distribute effluent throughout the entire drainfield. This property is also prone to seasonal groundwater so we installed a curtain drain on the high side of the Drainfield to direct it around both sides and prevent potential from entering. After final grade we spread seed, fertilizer, and wheat straw to prevent This is a very time critical job in order to keep the system running for the homeowners the entire time but we did it with minimal down time✅ Give Foy Septic a call if you have a failing septic system and we will be happy to come take a look at it!

This is what happens when the primary and secondary settle. The inlet/outlet pipe was curved creating an outlet invert lower than the inlet invert. Effluent had no where to go except backwards….. we removed the inlet pipe and replaced it with a new one, making sure to compact it while keeping the outlet elevation lower than the inlet to allow proper discharge from the primary tank.

Pipe was disconnected due to settling and being glued incorrectly. This caused a clog that backed up the entire house on 4th of July weekend with a house full of guests 😫 This system is 6 years old and should not be having these problems, I promise you whatever amount you save on the installation by hiring the cheapest installer you will be put back into the system two-fold within 10 years. Even the cheapest option is still thousands of dollars! Make sure it’s going to last for you and your family, that the installer stands behind their work and also services systems, anybody can throw a system in the ground and roll out. But a company that services systems understands the importance of quality work and materials. And how important it is to install it correctly no matter what it takes or how long it takes!
