Work is under way at the former post office in downtown Lexington. We're handling the asbestos abatement and demolition for Davidson County.

Our licensed abatement crew is removing asbestos throughout the building first, with our 30-yard roll-offs staged at the loading dock. Then the building comes down. One contractor for the whole job. We'll share photos as it goes, including the cleared lot at the end.

A-1 Service Group has started demolition of the former downtown Lexington post office for Davidson County. Photos of the job so far.

Here's an update regarding our previous post: Former employees, Juan Rosas and Axle Roses, visited our Bishop Road location last Saturday and stole seven tandem loads of stone, along with a 25-foot piece of 24-inch HDPE pipe.

We contacted the Guilford County Sheriff's Department to report the theft. They informed us that we should take these individuals to small claims court to recover the value of the stolen items, as there is nothing they can do. The total value of what was taken is at least $2,000. It doesn't seem fair that if someone steals a drink from a gas station, they would be arrested, but there's no action taken in this case because one of them was an employee at the time.
We were trying to identify the dump truck in the picture because we think the material could have been used on a local jobsite not far away from Bishop Road, as the truck was making 30-minute round trips.

If you know these individuals, please be aware that they are not trustworthy.

Could anyone help identify the owners of these vehicles? Please let us know
