We're hiring a Pump Build & Repair Technician in Atlanta, GA.

If you like hands-on mechanical work and want to see a job through from teardown to test bench, this could be a great fit. You'll build, assemble, and test pumps and pump packages to manufacturer spec, diagnose issues in centrifugal and submersible equipment, and rebuild seals, bearings, couplings, and motors. You'll also perform alignment work and confirm everything performs to spec, flow, pressure, and mechanical operation, before it ships or gets installed.

Reading pump curves and technical drawings, keeping accurate build and repair records, and supporting our field service team with removal, installation, and start-up are all part of the day-to-day. You'll work closely with our Pump Build & Repair Manager and the service and parts teams to keep jobs moving.

This role sits inside Hoffman Hydronics, part of the 100% employee-owned Hoffman Family of Companies. When you're an owner, you treat the work, and the people next to you, differently. That's not a slogan here, it's how the shop actually runs.

If you know your way around a pump and want to build a career with a company you also have a stake in, we'd like to hear from you.

One skid, zero mechanical-room chaos.

What is a packaged (prefabricated) pump skid and when is it worth it?

At Hoffman Hydronics, our Pump'nFlo (PNF) division builds these packaged pump systems in-house and ships them nationwide. Each skid is factory-built and fully tested off-site before it ever reaches the job site, with pumps, valves, and controls already assembled and verified as one unit.

That translates directly into less field labor and less schedule risk. It's especially valuable on tight-footprint or high-rise jobs, where mechanical room space and installation time are both at a premium.

Ask about a Pump'nFlo package for your next project.

"When one person wins, everyone wins." 🎉

That's how one of our employee-owners described what it means to work at a 100% ESOP company, and it's exactly the message our team shared this week when U.S. Congressman Addison McDowell (R-NC-06) visited our Hoffman Family of Companies headquarters in Greensboro.

Several of our employee-owners sat down with Congressman McDowell for an employee-owner roundtable; a casual, candid conversation about owning a piece of the company where they work. The stories were consistent: when you're an owner, you treat your job, and the people next to you, differently. You show up knowing you're heard. And you understand, in a very real way, that one person's success lifts everyone around them.

Congressman McDowell has been a supporter of employee-owned businesses, and visits like this help put a face and a story to what that support protects: real people building real retirement security through the company they help run every day.

Thank you to Congressman McDowell and his team for taking the time to listen, and to every employee-owner who showed up and shared their story.

Hoffman Hydronics had the chance to spend time with customers at the Wyndham Championship last week, right in our hometown of Greensboro. Watching world-class golf at Sedgefield Country Club is always a good time, but the real highlight was the conversations, catching up with the people we get to work with every day and building relationships that go beyond the job site.⛳

Thanks to everyone who joined us. It's how the best relationships get built, one afternoon at a time.

Recently, Luke Harvey from our Hoffman Hydronics Alabama branch and Matthias Müter from Kampmann Group, hosted a Lunch 'n Learn about Fan Coil Units with the facilities and engineering team at a local hospital. 🏥

In a healthcare setting, comfort control and quiet operation matter just as much as efficiency. Kampmann's water-based fan coils deliver energy-efficient heating and cooling, pair well with modern heat pump systems, and support individualized comfort control room by room, an important consideration across patient rooms, exam spaces, and staff areas that each have different comfort needs.

They walked through key design considerations, installation options (ceiling, wall, and concealed applications), and how these slim, compact units help maintain clean architectural lines and quiet acoustic performance, both priorities in patient-care environments, without sacrificing performance. They also covered lab-tested performance data and the engineering support resources available for healthcare facility and design teams.

If you're a facilities director, engineer, or mechanical contractor working on healthcare projects and interested in higher-efficiency hydronic solutions and fan coil best practices, reach out, we'd love to have you join us for a future session.✨

17 interns. One big facility tour. A whole lot of hydronics. 💦

Our Atlanta interns: Carson Lathem, Jake LaVinka, and Shahab Khorasanizadeh hosted our first-ever HVAC and Hydronics Intern Lunch & Learn, bringing in 17 interns from our customer companies for a full day of learning and networking.

The agenda covered a review of who we are as a company, a candid look at what a day in the life of an HVAC rep looks like, a networking lunch, a tour of our new 50,000-square-foot Atlanta facility, and hands-on technical training on HVAC and hydronics fundamentals.

A great first step in building relationships with the next generation of engineers and reps in our industry. Nice work, Carson, Jake, and Shahab.✨

🎥Lights, snacks, and a full house.

Last night, Hoffman Hydronics packed out a movie theatre with nearly 120 guests from engineering firms across the Atlanta area for a special screening of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day".

Before the movie, our custom product presentation played on the big screen, giving guests a look at what we do, right before the lights dimmed for the show. The rest of the night was all about connecting: great food, great conversation, and a packed theatre full of people who make our industry what it is.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it a night to remember. We loved getting to celebrate with so many of our engineering partners. ✨

What should I upgrade in a hotel HVAC renovation? 🤔

If that question is on your mind, here are five hydronic considerations worth putting on your hotel HVAC renovation checklist:

✅Guest room comfort: Fan coils give you independent room-by-room control, but only when paired with individual thermostats and control valves. A two-pipe system generally can't heat and cool different rooms at the same time; a four-pipe system can.

✅Domestic hot water: Boilers and water heaters need to be sized and staged for peak-demand and recovery, not just average daily load, or you'll hear about it the next time banquet kitchens and morning showers overlap.

✅Point of entry (POE) filtration systems: Can provide water purification and scale prevention for domestic water hotel piping systems. This can be done without chemical additives or high waste reverse osmosis storage tanks.

✅Balancing and controls: Proper flow balancing and variable-flow controls can improve comfort and cut unnecessary pumping and plant energy — often one of the highest-value, lowest-disruption upgrades on the list.

✅Material selection: Coastal and high-rise properties may need corrosion-resistant components and pressure-zoned piping design that inland, low-rise buildings don't.

✅Phasing: Sequencing the work floor by floor can mean less disruption to occupied rooms, though the real impact depends on your plant, controls, and existing layout.

Save this for your next renovation scope.
