Safety starts with the people willing to step up, stay alert, and look out for everyone around them.

Out in the field, every sign placed, every cone set, and every decision made plays a part in getting crews, drivers, and communities home safely.

We’re proud of the people who take that responsibility seriously every single day.

Safety on the road starts with communication.

Every cone placed, every sign held, and every call over the radio is part of keeping our crews, our customers, and the traveling public safe.

It takes focus. It takes teamwork. And it takes people who understand the responsibility that comes with working in a live work zone.

That’s the job. And our team takes it seriously.

Day one matters.

Every new team member at Rivers Safety starts with training designed to give them the knowledge, confidence, and expectations they need before stepping into the field.

A big part of making that happen is Devin Speh, our Training & Development Supervisor.

Devin has built a reputation around here for doing things the right way, taking care of people, and making sure every person in his classroom has what they need to succeed. Ask around, and you’ll hear the same thing.

We’re lucky to have him leading the way and helping set the standard from day one.

Some jobs happen in the background. This one happens right in front of you.

Every stop. Every signal. Every vehicle safely through the work zone. It takes focus, awareness, and a team that takes the responsibility seriously.

Proud of the people out there doing the work and keeping everyone moving safely.

A great day at the 2026 SFS Tools & Safety Customer Appreciation Expo!

We enjoyed getting out, connecting with customers and industry partners, and talking about the work happening across the region. Events like this are always a good reminder that this business is built on strong relationships and we’re grateful to be part of it.

And of course, congratulations to Justin Wright with AEP Appalachian Power, winner of our YETI Tundra 45 cooler!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Rivers Safety booth. We’ll see you at the next one.

Most people drive through a work zone and never think twice about the person standing there.

But that person is watching traffic, communicating with the crew, and making decisions all day long to help keep everyone safe.

It takes patience. It takes focus. And it takes pride in doing a job that matters.

The people you work beside can make a long day feel a whole lot shorter.

A good attitude. A little humor. Someone who does their part without being asked twice. Those things matter when you’re out there together every day.

Good crews are built with good people.

What’s the #1 quality you want in someone working beside you?

In this line of work, communication isn’t just part of the job. It’s how you look out for each other.

One voice on the radio. One person watching the road. One crew trusting that everyone is doing their part.

That trust is earned over time and it’s what turns a group of people into a team.

Everybody sees the sign.

We see the person holding it.

The early mornings. The long days. The heat. The traffic. The responsibility of knowing people are counting on you to keep the job moving and get everyone through safely.

Our culture has always been about the people behind the work. Giving respect to the ones who show up and do it every day.

If you’ve ever worked a lane, you know.

Tag somebody who deserves a little recognition for the work they put in.

Another week in the books.

Long days, hot roads, early mornings, and a whole lot of looking out for the person beside you.

At the end of the week, the biggest win is simple. We made it through safe.
