I love all the critiques I'm getting on my short video lol. Never thought it reach that far and wide. Got over 5k views! The most I've ever gotten. I'm pretty impressed! I've been telling my boy all about how my joints are too big and how I'm too slow 🐌 and all the things I shouldn't be doing 😂 He's always there when I need someone to talk to 😅 He's such a good listener! Man's best friend right! 🐕 Anyway, hope everyone has had a great Thursday! Mine has been pretty great!

This customer wanted me to make his mailbox look just like a neighbor's down the street. He had a rounded top brick mailbox already and wanted to make the new one flat so he could display his razorback figurine on top.
He was very happy the finished product! Thats what its all about! Love making my customers happy!

Here's another little clip my son, Isaac got of me laying brick. So much thought goes into bricklaying. Its hard to tell people who have never dealt with it. For instance, in this video you see me checking if the brick has any defects and how straight the face is. Once I find it's a good brick to lay, then I can butter my brick and lay it. If you dont know what to look for, you may lay a brick that makes your job look crooked and flawed. Doesn't matter how good of a bricklayer you are if the brick isnt straight and has pits or cracks.
Anyways, that mortar was supposed to stay put at the end there. It must have known I was been recorded 😆 making me look bad Isaac!

Most people dont understand what goes into making a brick mailbox.
They look at the finished product and think, "Thats easy work". I can promise you, it's not as easy as it looks. This is where it all starts. Anyone in a trade profession knows if you're out of square, the finished product just won't look good. Square, plumb, and level can make or break your project! My son thought he'd show you a short clip of me doing just that. This is one of the hardest parts of a mailbox to master. That and the cuts around the mailbox insert! I'm teaching both my boys how to do it! My oldest is back in college so my youngest is learning the ropes this summer. He is pretty awesome at cutting brick now. So proud of them both! They are the future! Check the comments for the finished mailbox! 🧱📬

This was a fun little step I got to do in Conway.

This customer had a high spot and kept tripping walking into their home. They have children and elderly parents and was worried someone would get hurt one day. They didn't want just a boring square step and asked me for options on different types of steps. I really enjoy doing geometry so I said "How about a half circle?" They liked the idea so thats what I gave them! I enjoyed this one a lot! Lots of cuts!! Turned out great and the customer loved it!

Small Crack Repair and Brick Step install. 🧱🧱🧱

My goal for repairs 🎯 When it dries and cures, you won't notice its been repaired. That is very difficult when you deal with mortar, though. Due to how mortar ages and weathers over the years, it's hard to make those repairs blend in. With every repair I get, I try to make it better than the previous repair. Sometimes that doesn't go as planned. It has a lot to do with how big the cracks get. Thankfully this crack wasn't too big and I was able to blend the brick colors pretty well!

What do you guys think?

💢💢My Advice to Everyone with Brick Veneer around their home💢💢

Get the water runoff as far away from your foundation as possible! 💧💧💧 That is the number 1 cause of cracks in your brick veneer! Make sure your gutter downspouts have extenders and shoot that water as far away from your house as possible 💧💧💧 Water is the MOST destructive element!!! Especially to your homes foundation 🏠

The home owner said they woke up in the morning to their mailbox laying down on the job! 👎🙃 No car parts or any evidence of who or what knocked it down. We can only speculate what may have happened🚘🚗🚖 but there is no proof unfortunately.😪 We did what we do and got a new mailbox back and ready for action! 📨📬

This mailbox was another casualty of a fast backing up delivery driver 🙃 but don't be worried! We had it under control! We were blessed to be able find a pretty good match for the brick thankfully and we got them a new one built up in no time! The customer's are happy to have a new mailbox and, said it looks better than the previous mailbox they had! This was a blessing in disguise, I always say! What do you think?
