I think I'm finally getting a break. All orders are out. Quite a few of my own orders are planted as they came in (4 more orders on the way). Iris room is turned back into a guest room lol. Keeping the newly planted irises watered in this heat can be a struggle, especially for the ones on the farm.

I've always fertilized in late Summer and early Spring (as well as when I plant), but I just recently discovered that that late Summer fertilizing isn't so necessary unless you live in colder climates (up North..zones 1-6). I'm going to skip the summer feeding this year and see how it goes. Two seasons ago we had a really weak winter, causing my irises to wake too early, and I believe that since I fertilized during summer, my irises grew at a time too early, causing rot on a lot of my plants. Our winters just aren't harsh enough anymore.

Now..time for me to get mine replanted and plant some of the new ones I've received. Current temp only 75°. Yay!

Working on packing irises, and Mariposa thinks she misses her mama. She'd stay up there all day if I allowed it. She's a shoulder kitty for sure.

Orders started out all crazy this morning...slowing down a bit. There are still a few on my "Get To" list.
I learned to write the names down in order that they come in. I can follow along easier that way.
