New Species Alert! We now have White Turtlehead (Chelone glabra). This beautiful native Maine perennial has tubular flowers that resemble a turtle’s head emerging from the stalk. Grows well in full sun to part shade
and flowers in late summer continuously through fall. The White Turtlehead is the primary host plant of the caterpillars of the Baltimore Checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas phaeton). Bring new biodiversity to your yard by incorporating important host plants like White Turtlehead.

We are trying something new this year… nativars! What is a “nativar”, you ask? Well nativ-ar is a newly formed, non scientific, mash up word to help describe cultivars (or plants specifically cultivated for their unique characteristics) of native plants. This year we are trying two nativars, a beautiful and unique ground cover aster Symphyotrichum ericoides Snow Flurry and the stunning white Ice Ballet Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata). These are plugs sourced from izel.nativeplants, a great source for your bulk native plant orders.

Selling these Sat May 30 10-2. Then by online order and pickup after that.
