Going into the 2024 season we have decided that now is a great time to share just a fraction of the 500+ projects we've done over the past 12 years. Our goal is to make the dream of owning your own deck a reality... and now it is easier than ever. Our team is ready when you are! We will personally sit down and design the exact deck for your wants... and your needs. Whether it be the practical entry way staircase and landing, or the more elaborate show piece for entertaining your family or the entire neighborhood, we have the experience and knowledge to build it, from the ground up. At DECKS IN A DAY, we have an endless amount of options for materials, from hand selected pressure treated lumber to the highest grade composite decking and railings. As of right now our season will begin next week as planned, the same way it has for the past 7 years. I want all of you to know that it is my main focus as a contractor, a husband, and a father, to protect the health of my clients, my family, and myself at the highest degree during these uncertain times... I will continue to provide free estimates in person (at a distance that is safe) as well as by phone or email with virtual layouts of your deck design. There is no telling just how long this "in house" quarantine will continue for, but I assure you that we still live in one of the most beautiful states in this country, the sun is going to continue to shine, and there is no better place to sit than outside on your new deck relaxing... "Let us add value to your home and your life!"

The original plans for this project were for an 8'x14' deck, but upon taking a few additional measurements our customer's decided to have us extend the length to 16'. This would give them the additional 2' of space to stand on the deck before opening their front door, something they weren't able to do with the previous staircase. 128 sq/ft of usable space... plenty of room for a grille, table, chairs, and company. When our customer first called for an estimate their initial request was, "We'd like a large pool deck that connects to an existing deck with a nice wide staircase..." Well after a week of sketches and tossing ideas around we came up with what you now see is just that... a very large pool deck!

We constructed this new 28'x18' pressure treated deck with 2x10 joists and 3 sets of doubled 2x12 girders, connected it to the existing 10'x18' deck with a beautiful 4' wide staircase, and then added 3 lockable swing gates which gives our customers roughly 500 square feet of new space to entertain any size crowd... with room to move!!

Here is a 12'x16' full cedar deck we did this summer in Windham. After going over multiple different ideas as for location of landing and direction of staircase, we decided that this layout was the most practical to optimize use of the back yard. There's just something about the smell of cedar that is like no other wood.

Happy 4th of July to all of our customers old and new! Is there really any better place than a deck to barbecue, listen to music, or have a cold beverage, while spending time with friends and family? Here we are, the first week of July, and our contracted decks are booked through the 2nd week of August with 8 new estimates on the schedule for this week (and it's only Monday). Two calls today came from people who passed my truck on 295 and called immediately to inquire about a new deck estimate (guess going bigger with the logo was a good idea afterall). I am beyond thankful for the continued support and "word of mouth advertising" by our past customers as well as friends and family... We will continue to build quality, affordable decks until the snow starts flying and at this point that seems more realistic daily!
