People ask us this all the time.

A roof inspection isn't just someone climbing up there for five minutes.

We're looking at things like:

✔ Missing shingles
✔ Soft spots
✔ Flashing
✔ Ventilation
✔ Gutters
✔ Roof penetrations
✔ Signs of leaks
✔ Overall roof life remaining

The goal is to help you understand your roof, not pressure you into replacing it. 🙌

Here in Nevada County, we talk all year long about fire season and how defensible space and home hardening efforts can protect your home.

Your roof plays a huge role in these efforts.

Here's a quick checklist:

✔ Remove leaves from gutters
✔ Clean debris from roof valleys
✔ Trim tree branches away from the roof
✔ Check for missing shingles
✔ Inspect vents and flashing
✔ Repair loose materials

A few hours of maintenance now can help protect your home throughout fire season.

It's not just people feeling these triple-digit temperatures.

Your roof has been sitting in the sun day after day, expanding in the heat and cooling every night. Over time, that constant movement can wear down shingles, flashing, sealants, and vents.

Most homeowners never notice the damage until the first rainstorm arrives.

A quick inspection now can catch small issues before they become expensive repairs later.

Winter might seem a long way off...

But your gutters disagree.

Summer is the perfect time to clear out debris, make repairs, and make sure everything is flowing properly before the rainy season arrives.

Your roof works hard. Your gutters help protect everything underneath it.

Let's make sure they don't need some love before winter comes.

One of the questions we hear most is:

"Do I need a whole new roof?"

The answer is... not always.

Many roofs can be repaired if problems are caught early.

That's why regular inspections matter, they help us find small issues before they become major ones.

If you're not sure where your roof stands, we're happy to take a look. You can schedule online at https://www.alexyourroofergutterguy.com.
