We're really happy how this yard turned out. It's different than your normal landscaping. The amazing couple living here will fill the compost areas with trees and shrubs and will have their own forest to enjoy from the trails. They'll use less water and the nutrients from the compost will help everything grow naturally.

These awesome people let us plant a cover crop last fall instead of grass. There is winter wheat, barley, oats, harry vetch and peas. They had us come back and put a summer edible crop in today. It takes less water, builds fertile soil and out competes weeds. Hopefully this is the future of yards here in the desert.

READ THE WHOLE POST TO ENTER.
We're getting close to 2 years in business. We really appreciate everyone who has trusted us to make their yards look beautiful. One of our first jobs in 2019 was with the good people at Guzzle in Grantsville. A couple months ago we did some work at their second location in Tooele. The first time around we did a Guzzle gift card giveaway. We'd like to do that again. Comment on this post something you love about Tooele county and you're in the drawing. We'll have 2 20$ giftcard winners and 10 10$ gift cards winners. We'll choose the winners friday March 4th.

I really like this backyard. The cover crop will be about 3 feet tall in the spring. The roots will pe*****te the hard clay. We'll cut it down in April and it will be used as compost for grass, flowers, and trees. It will also help retain water. The roots will help next years crops have an easy route into our hard soil and feed the plants natural nutrients. A summer cover crop could also be planted. This would use less water than grass and keep building nutrient rich soil.

We planted this soil building, nitrogen boosting cover crop in the fall of 2019. We watered it for a couple weeks then let nature take its course through the winter. This was late April 2020. We let it sit for 3 weeks and planted another cover crop and cannabis sativa L (h**p). You can also plant vegetables and use little to no water and no chemical fertilizers or pest control. The cover crop will help keep moisture in the ground from spring rains and release it throughout the summer as a gas for moisture. The taste is unparalleled and the crops grow like crazy. The second video is this years cover crop going in.
