Six days in Costa Rica with ABC Supply and the Frontier Roofing team. 🌴

Here’s the simple checklist we recommend before our crew arrives:

1) Move vehicles 🚗

Please park cars away from the driveway/garage area. We need space for material delivery and safe movement around the property.

2) Secure pets (and plan for noise) 🐶🐾🔊

Roof work is loud and doors/gates may open throughout the day. Keep pets inside, in a safe room, or off-site if they’re anxious.

3) Clear the perimeter 🪴🪑

Move patio furniture, grills, potted plants, décor, kids’ toys, and anything breakable away from the house. This protects your belongings and gives the crew a clean, safe workspace.

4) Protect fragile items indoors 🖼️✨

Hammering and vibration can shake the home. If you have delicate wall décor, frames, or shelves, it’s smart to secure them in advance.

5) Attic access (if applicable) 🔦

If we’ll be checking attic-related areas, please make sure the attic hatch is accessible and there’s a clear path for our team.

6) Give neighbors a quick heads-up 🏡💬

A simple message goes a long way—noise and deliveries can surprise people, especially in tight neighborhoods.

This project showcases a full commercial roofing process—from identifying existing deterioration to delivering a completed system built for long-term performance. 🏢

The early site photos show clear signs of wear in the existing roof assembly, including compromised perimeter conditions, drainage concerns, and visible deterioration across key areas of the roof surface. From there, our team moved into the replacement phase, coordinating tear-off, substrate review, dry-in, and installation with a focus on structure, sequencing, and quality control.

As the project progressed, the new white low-slope membrane system was installed across the main roof area, while the standing seam metal roof feature over the raised central section helped complete the architectural profile of the building. The finished result is a clean, watertight roofing system designed to improve drainage, restore protection, and support the property’s long-term performance needs. ✅

Meet Gil Martínez

Gil is a key part of our commercial team at Frontier Roofing. As our Commercial Construction Manager, he is a selfless, reliable leader who helps keep projects organized, on schedule, and running smoothly from start to finish.

From coordinating materials and schedules to overseeing job sites and maintaining quality standards, Gil plays a vital role in making sure every project is managed with structure, communication, and attention to detail. He’s also just a big teddy bear with a heart of gold who would do anything for anybody.

Outside of work, Gil loves sitting in the river, fishing off the pier at the coast, and spending time with his awesome family.

From storm damage to a full upgrade.

For DFW-11 – Mark Ward, our team managed a full-service insurance claim from start to finish, working with both the adjuster and our client to cover:

- Roof replacement
- Screens
- A/C repairs
- Gutters
- Fence stain
- Chimney cap

We handled all supplementing to help ensure he received the best value for his claim. We also upgraded his home to a Class 4 impact resistant shingle for added protection and longevity, which made him eligible for a premium reduction with his insurer.

In the end, his only out-of-pocket expense was his deductible.
