Over the years, I’ve seen a lot of homes where neglected roofs and clogged gutters lead to serious fascia board damage. In this case, the wood fascia had completely rotted out due to water constantly backing up and soaking into the wood. We went ahead and removed the old wooden fascia and replaced it with fiber cement fascia boards. Fiber cement is a much better option because it won’t rot or warp like wood, and it can handle the elements a lot better in the long run. It’s one of the upgrades I always recommend to my clients, especially when we’re dealing with moisture issues like this.
