It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Herb Ritsema, founder of Ritsema Associates and a true pioneer in West Michigan’s construction community.

Herb’s vision, leadership, and work ethic laid the foundation for what Ritsema Associates is today. Through decades of dedication, he helped shape not only our company, but also the communities and landscapes across West Michigan. His commitment to quality, integrity, and relationships continues to guide us every day.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Herb will be remembered for the lasting impact he had on the people around him; his family, employees, partners, and clients alike. His legacy lives on in the culture he built and the standards he set.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Ritsema family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We are grateful for Herb’s vision and the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
