Now that we are finally into a stretch of nice weather, make sure you check your dryer vents....this past week 3 of the homes I inspected had clogged dryer vents....serious (preventable) fire hazard.

There is a right way and there are many wrong ways to vent a dryer out of the basement....can you guess which side this one falls on?

The only room in the entire home that had a drop ceiling was the kitchen. That means you have to remove the tiles to see why.....and now my client knows.

Well on one of my inspections yesterday I came across a first...when inspecting the electrical panel, I was shooting the temperature of the wires and breakers (checking for overload) and the supply line to the home was over 300 degrees!!!! The breakers ranged from 125-250 degrees (room temp was 67). After having a discussing with my client and their realtor, I called the listing agent to let them know about this serious issue (they called Consumers to have power shut down at the meter until an electrician could get there)......electrical inspections need to be more than just visual inspections.

Well I am pretty confident that this was not done by a licensed electrician 😂, but the homeowner was good at labeling things 👍🏻. .

It’s amazing the various things you see driving to Inspections. I will say this person has the “I just gotta get sh*t done” mentality and doesn’t let the towing capacity of their Honda Fit hold them back. Let’s just say they were exceeding it by a little.

I had some supervisors at one of my inspections today. It was tough to tell if they were pleased with my work based on their facial expressions 😂
