A mild afternoon does not always mean the conditions are right for exterior painting.
Temperatures can drop quickly after sunset, potentially affecting how the paint dries and cures. That is why professional painters consider the full weather window, including overnight lows, before beginning a project.

A fresh coat of paint made a big difference throughout the main living spaces of this Grand Rapids home.

We refreshed the living room, kitchen, entry, hallways, bathroom, and stairway using a warm mix of Benjamin Moore Deserted Island and Snowfall White, with fresh flat white ceilings.

One of the biggest changes was the basement stairway. We removed the existing wallpaper, smoothed the walls, and repainted the space in Snowfall White for a clean, updated finish.

With the kids back in school and the holidays getting closer, now is a great time to tackle the interior painting projects you've been putting off.

🎉 First-time customers receive 10% off their project.

Two outdoor spaces, one big refresh.

Last week, we headed north to New Era to bring new life to this homeowner's deck and barns.

The weathered deck was refreshed with Sherwin-Williams SuperDeck Solid Color Stain in Cedar, bringing back a warm, finished look while helping protect the wood from the elements.

For the barns, we brought the classic red and white combination back to life with Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec Exterior Satin, using Heritage Red with bright white accents. The difference a fresh coat makes on these buildings is hard to miss.

Can it be too cold to paint your home’s exterior?
Yes, but the answer depends on more than the temperature shown on your weather app. The paint product, surface temperature, humidity, wind, and drying time can all affect the final result.

A refresh doesn't always mean choosing one new color. Sometimes it's the combination that makes the biggest difference.

We recently completed this Grand Rapids exterior painting project, refreshing the siding and trim while giving the doors, shutters, and garage door their own pops of color.

The homeowners chose for the pops in color with Benjamin Moore Element Guard:
• Shutters: Autumn Bronze
• Garage door: Tudor Brown
• Exterior doors: color matched to Sherwin-Williams Oakmoss

The blue siding paired with warm brown, green, and white accents gives the home plenty of personality while still feeling cohesive.

Exterior season is winding down in West Michigan. If your home could use a refresh, now is the time to get your project on the schedule.
