This is the first time I have posted on Facebook. Today I was notified that someone has been posting on my page. I removed the posts that were not mine.
Everyone that knows me knows that my life revolves around my family and work. About a year ago I became overwhelmed with everything, work and family. Just not enough time for everything, and I shut my office and had to let go of some of the best employees I ever had. This was not an easy thing to do.
Today I am still practicing architecture working from home. Still very busy, however I start my day by having breakfast with Ximena, talking about our kids and what we have planned for the day. My oldest Grandson, Cadence, such a loving boy, has been staying with us, his bedroom at home was flooded and currently we are replacing the flooring and walls that were damaged in the flood. Maddox I have the pleasure to taking her to ballet weekly, she is so unbelievably talented, always winning first in competitions. Knox my youngest, comes over and helps me with anything I am working on, gardening, cleaning cars, fixing bikes. And then there is Calex, my mini-me loves everything mechanically. Calex is very smart, when he comes over, he finds me cuddles up next to me to get my attention and tells me a story about what he is up to, studying, building etc. We have got a 3D printer for Christmas and have been building all kinds of things.
Innovative Design is me alone now, managing, designing, and doing construction documents. I do contract with an Engineer, Traci Wierda, who I have been contracting with most of my career and an Architect, Jeff Harwood, I have consulted with and currently contract to work on a hotel project with me.
This year I completed a 30,000-sf addition for Future Industries, designing, and construction documents. Ongoing remolding of Holland Dutch Village Retail Center. Multiple tenant spaces include Mike McNeill’s Good Feet Store. Mike and Tom from Good Feet are just so enjoyable to work with over 8 years. C-Store in Kentwood and Portage, Gas Station in Fruit Port and Battle Creek, Mini Golf course, store for Foxy's Leotards, Nail Salon’s, site design of a 5-duplex development, Haleigh Constantine home and the project I’m most proud of Louie and Nora’s home on Reeds Lake currently under construction.
Today I am currently working on many different projects, always looking for more unique types of projects. So, if there is anyone out there fitting these criteria, please contact me.
