From working on data centers to three-building warehouses, our interns in Austin have jumped head-first into the commercial construction industry, and the learning isn't stopping anytime soon.

For Ripp Soto, the support he's gotten on the field has meant a lot. "Working on large commercial projects was daunting at first, but the guys make it easy by putting me in a spot where I can develop." Next up for him is working on the HTO3 Data Center project along with Maximus Uribe who likes how the internship gives him a hands-on chance to experience what he's learning in school.

At Shallow Bay, Jeffrey Luongo says working on large-scale projects like a warehouse has helped him learn a lot in a short period of time, but the people have been the best part. "Working with the project managers and superintendents has taught me so much about what my future could look like."

Patrick DeWitt has had construction experience with other subcontractors and in his classes at Ferris State University. But his internship at Kent stands out for one big reason:

"I've gotten to see a bunch of different projects all over Grand Rapids. The first week, I went out with the safety team, and now I'm working in the field with the guys. Seeing so many projects with different people gives me a better perspective. You can't get that kind of perspective from the classroom."

Last week, Patrick helped finish up work at IHM Early Childhood Center, and now he's seeing the start of a project in Wyoming. Perspective you can't get from a classroom. That's what it like to be an intern at Kent.

Our underlayments team in DFW kept it moving on the Amli Treehouse Project in Addison.

The project was near a high-traffic road, but that didn't slow us down. In total we delivered 25,988 SF of balconies, 4,074 SF of stair landings, and 395,635 SF of underlayment for this five-story wrap apartment complex. That's our Four Hallmarks in action.
