A lot of contractors hold off on new technology because they are not sure their crew will actually get up to speed on it.

That is a real concern. And it is exactly why we include on-site training with every single system we sell.

We come to your job site. We work alongside your crew. We make sure everyone knows what to do before we leave. After that, 15 step-by-step training videos are available on demand, and the same people who trained you are a phone call away if something comes up in the field.

The technology is only as good as the support behind it. That is something we take seriously.

If you have been holding onto an old total station and thinking about upgrading, now is the time.

Through September 30, Site Precision is accepting trade-ins on any total station — any brand, any age — and putting up to $7,500 in trade-in value toward a brand new Topcon GT or LN series robotic total station.

The only requirement is that it still powers on and works.

Bring in what you have. Trade up to what you need.

Reach out at siteprecisioninc.com or call us at (616) 534-7800 to get started.

One person. One total station. One complete foundation laid out before the rest of the crew arrives.

This is what residential concrete layout looks like when you stop pulling tape and start working digitally with Topcon.

The total station sits on the tripod and handles all the angle and distance work. The operator moves through the site with a tablet, staking points one by one — solo, accurate, and done in a fraction of the time it used to take with two or three people.

That's the trade: fewer hands on site, more points on the ground, and a crew that shows up to a foundation that's already staked.

One of the biggest questions we get before someone pulls the trigger on HP SitePrint is always some version of the same thing: how do I program the robot, and what if I don't have anyone with CAD skills in-house?

Here's exactly how it works. We use a plugin inside AutoCAD or Revit to convert your design model into a robot-ready file — one that tells the machine what to print, where the obstacles are, and where your control points are on site. We train your crew on how to do this themselves. If you would rather hand it off, we take it off your plate completely and handle the file prep for you. Either way, by the time training wraps up, crews are running jobs completely independently.

And we stay available. If something comes up in the field, we are a phone call away. That's not a tagline. It's how we operate.

Good food, cold drinks, and a hands-on look at the technology that is changing how contractors do layout and 3D scanning. That is the Brew and Learn.

Thursday, September 17 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Slows Bar BQ in Detroit. We will have the Topcon CR-S1, the Mechasys XR Projector, and the Topcon CR-P1 on-site so you can see all three in action and ask the questions you actually want answered — no sales pitch, just real conversation over lunch.

Food and drinks are included. Spots are limited. Register now at the link below.

The Mechasys XR Projector is new to the United States — and it changes what layout looks like on a job site.

Instead of transferring locating points by hand, your operator selects the drawing from the Layout Field app, sets up using control points, control lines, or existing site features, and the laser projector takes it from there. Your design is projected at full 1:1 scale directly onto the floor, ceiling, or wall. Walls, soffits, HVAC, plumbing, electrical — whatever is in your model shows up exactly where it needs to be, on any surface, with sub-1/8in accuracy.

No tape measures. No total station. Just mark or install right onto the projection. Your drawing is the layout.

Precision starts with the right tools. 📐

This is a robotic total station, one instrument that does two jobs: measuring angles and distances at the same time. That combo lets us pinpoint exact locations on site, down to a fraction of an inch.

Foundations. Footings. Grading. Anchor bolts. Every point placed with robotic precision, not guesswork.

You've probably seen one of these before, but do you know what it does?

A total station is a survey instrument used for layout on job sites, marking exact points for foundations, footings, anchor bolts, and grading. And it works by locking onto a target pole from a fixed position, then guiding the crew forward, back, left, or right until they're standing on the exact point needed.

No tape measure. No string. No guessing. Just accuracy down to a fraction of an inch, which means fewer mistakes, less rework, and real peace of mind on every job.

"We believe we're saving $5,000 a floor in layout."

That number comes from a real contractor on a live project. And when you hear the reasoning, it makes complete sense. When you measure off a column that is off by an inch or two, everything you build from that reference line compounds that error down the rest of the job. One bad starting point and the whole floor follows it in the wrong direction.

With digital layout, the CAD file is the reference. Not the column. Not someone else's work. Every point goes exactly where the design says it should go, regardless of what is around it. Two or three people chasing accuracy becomes one person who already has it.

Speed, accuracy, and it pays for itself. That is not a sales pitch — that is a contractor mid-project telling you what they are seeing.

Think total stations are just for big commercial jobs? Think again.

Residential concrete crews are smaller and move faster — which means every minute spent on layout matters more, not less. One person with a Topcon LN Series can lay out an entire foundation solo before the rest of the crew arrives. No string lines. No tape. No extra hands.

Smaller job. Same accuracy. Way less work. Request a demo at siteprecisioninc.com.
