This is an invoice from a Locksmith scammer. 😠
$2000 for a $100 service. 💸
Someone responded to a Google Ad, locked out of their house. 🏠
Many emergency trades have the same type of scams. 🚨
They have the best marketing, ads & websites, Angie’s list & Google listings at the very top almost every time. 🔝
These are often foreign entities that have learned how to game the system to take advantage of people with emergencies. 🌍
Scammers are not very good at locksmithing. 🔐
Their Marketing and Switchboard sales People are very good at what they do. (Think the movie “Boiler Room” with Vin Diesel) 🎬
Beware If you get a very low price quoted over the phone ($29 or $49 plus what the Locksmith needs to do.) 📞
That is a big red flag. 🚩

Many news organizations have done sting operations, but the government has decided that it’s mostly legal. 📰
