Thoughtful sustainability and craftsmanship shape the home throughout. Situated on the crest of a slope, the home minimally disrupts mature trees, preserving the site’s natural character while capturing expansive lake views.

MMA is thrilled to be named again to the second annual Forbes America’s Best-In-State Residential Architects List! The list aims to shine a spotlight on outstanding firms in all 50 states.

The list was produced with the guidance of a diverse board of experts on residential architecture, assessing each candidate using the methodology set forth by Forbes, putting an emphasis on practices that reflect the local environment, culture, resources, and craftsmanship.

MMA is one of three Michigan firms, and the only West Michigan firm to be recognized.

Earlier this week, City of Walker, Michigan Mayor Gary Carey delivered his final State of the City Address at the nearly complete Walker KDL library.

The new library is designed to be both a resource and refuge, as a place that reflects the city’s values and commitment to growth, safety, and community connection for generations to come.

We’re grateful to Mayor Carey and his team, the City Commissioners, the Kent District Library team, and our partnerships with Studio GC and Owen-Ames-Kimball, for collaborating on this visionary project!

Montcalm Community College recently took bold steps to expand opportunity for its students and community, setting its sights on a transformative goal: offering on-campus housing for the very first time.

MMA partnered with MCC, Progressive Companies, and Construction Simplified to bring this long-term vision from the master plan to life. The new residence hall recently opened for the 2026-2027 school year.

Here is what one of MCC’s Resident Assistants had to say: “The building is super nice and it’s nice to know that it is brand new. Living a few feet from anywhere I have to go has been amazing and I have been able to connect with so many people on a closer level since living here!”
