I’ve been MIA lately because I’ve been working on a couple commissioned Christmas surprises. This chess board coffee table is made out of gorgeous African Mahogany with a Padauk inlay. One side sits flat in the coffee table and once you flip the chess board over it becomes a 3D board for an added challenge to the game. Big thanks to Missy Clough Hopkins for giving me the creative freedom to come up with this idea. Stay tuned for the next project!

It doesn’t take much to spruce up an old board, don’t throw it away. Check out these before and after pictures of a couple of friends cutting boards. You can see they used heavily and were showing some wear but that was easily fixed as well as adding some color to the one. The one without the added color was over 25 years old! Send me a message, I’ll help you get that old board back to its former glory!

This was a design-as-I-go kind of project. My fiancé didn’t know exactly what she wanted when it came to asking her bridesmaids to be apart of our wedding. She knew she wanted a bottle of wine incorporated, so I went to work and this is what came out of the lab. The best part is she loved them and so did her bridesmaides!
