We had a great morning collaborating with Mesa County Public Health and chatting with award-winning Daily Sentinel reporter Jace DiCola about the long-standing working relationships between our organizations. 📰✨

Did you know? The Grand River Mosquito Control District and Mesa County Public Health's Disease Surveillance Team work hand-in-hand throughout mosquito season, sharing data and monitoring mosquito activity to help keep Grand Valley residents informed, protected, and healthy. 💪🌄

🧴Use repellent with 10-30 percent DEET, picaridin, oil of lemon eucalyptus or IR3535
👖Wear long sleeves and pants when outside at dawn or dusk

🦟💥 Mosquito season is right around the corner, and the Grand River Mosquito District is gearing up💥🦟

Last week, our team had hands-on classroom and field training to get ready for the season ahead 🌿

This year, we will have 21 field technicians out in the community working hard to keep mosquito populations under control 💪

Due to the lower precipitation this winter, we’re expecting a milder season—but that doesn’t mean you should let your guard down! ⚠️

Remember the 3 Ds to stay protected:
💧 Drain standing water around your home
👖 Dress in long sleeves and pants at dawn & dusk
🧴 Defend yourself with mosquito repellent
