We had the pleasure of washing one of the Islands' oldest farmhouses last week-circa 1800!!
It had well over a decade of organic growth, but now it's shining like new 😁
Having grown up in a generational 1800s farmhouse, this was pretty cool!

1832; that's not an address. I had the pleasure of washing this 200 year old home a few days ago that hadn't been cleaned in a while. With older homes you need to take special care. We used light pressure and the oxidized siding remained undisturbed. The customer was elated with the results!

Is your siding turning black? I once heard a song about a red door (preferably) being painted black.
That wasn't the case here. It was nature's doing, and was not intended.

That's okay, we can fix that!! Customer believed it was smoke residue buildup from the exhaust on his pellet stoves. It was actually several years of mold and organics due to it being the North-facing facade that doesn't get much sunlight, paired with the juxtaposition of the nearby hedgerow. It took a lot of cleaning solution, but we got it done!

We've had some awesome projects lately!
I had the pleasure of washing my great grandparents' former home. The last time I was there I'm pretty sure I was more concerned about matchbox cars, GI Joe's, and rug burn. The current clients are still family I hold in high regard (it's the Islands 😜🤣).

While we were there, we were able to do a quick wash at their nextdoor neighbors' at a discounted rate! The neighbor initially approached me while I was washing another property on Memorial Day.

It was a warm couple of days, but we got a few projects done! Check out this beautiful North Hero home we had the pleasure of washing yesterday!

Here at Rubber Ducky, we take the time to protect your property! The screened in porch and door remained bone dry, then the door got a quick rinse at the end. Certain red and blue paints contain organic pigments and, while I think a pink front door would be a helluva fashion statement; this one remained it's original color 💪😅

Okay, this duck is finally done hibernating! I had the pleasure of washing the Isle of Patmos Masonic Lodge in South Hero and what a special way to start off the season!
My parents got married there, but it was all black and white back then (judging by the pictures).
Please don't tell them I said that though..😂

I hope you are all enjoying your holiday weekend. Please take some time today to remember all the brave people that made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Hey "Peeps!" Happy Easter!

I'm a little behind on posting this, my beautiful wife chose the same day to turn 30 so I spent it with her and the boys.
(She needs to pick a better birth date...!)

We're "Springing" back and almost ready to go for the season!

Grand Isle is known as the "Beauty Spot of Vermont" and we've been here for over 230 years (not personally. I'm old, but not THAT old!)
