NEBCO, Inc., in 1996 putchased Christensen Concrete Products Company of Grand Island and Kearney Crete and Block Co., Inc. of Kearney and began operation of both companies as a way to expand its production resources. Christensen Concrete Products was founded in 1947 when Grand Island was preparing

to pave its city streets. In 1948, Christensen began production of concrete block. Today, Christensen Concrete Products manufacture and sell concrete block and other block products to the contractor and do-it-yourselfer in Central Nebraska. Christensen Concrete have expanded their product lines with the distribution of clay face brick, fireplaces, glass block, exterior insulation finish systems and many other residential and commercial construction products including caulking, sealers, decorative landscaping rock and tools.
