6PM: A line of strong to severe storms are moving into parts of Alamance County Orange County Southeastern Randolph County Chatham County with gusty to damaging winds and heavy rainfall.

Locations impacted include... Chapel Hill, Burlington, Graham, Hillsborough, Pittsboro, Siler City, Carrboro, Mebane, Goldston and Liberty.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 163 and 169. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 142 and 162, and between Mile Markers 259 and 267.

Also watching strong to severe storms moving into parts of Anson, Lee, Montgomery, Moore and Richmond Counties. Gusty to damaging winds are likely with these as well.

Locations impacted include... Southern Pines, Troy, Carthage, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Biscoe, Whispering Pines, Pinebluff, Mount Gilead, and Robbins.

This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 27 and 60.
