Carter Salz grew up surrounded by hard work. Now he’s bringing those lessons with him to medical school. 🥼

The first-year medical student from Saint Ansgar, Iowa, grew up in a rural community where his parents and neighbors worked in farming and the trades. His own early jobs included working as a janitor, roofing technician, and auto detailer — experiences that helped shape his work ethic and sense of responsibility.

After discovering a passion for biology and chemistry in college and volunteering at a local hospital, Carter began to see medicine as a way to make a meaningful difference in rural communities. Now, as a member of the Carver Rural Iowa Scholars Program, he hopes to someday become a trusted resource for patients in rural Iowa.

“When I think of the physician I want to be, I imagine someone who can sit down with their patients, connect with them, and earn their trust,” he says.

Did you know- Before we even set foot on your roof the first thing we think about is what parts of your property need the most protection during the tear off process.

We have invested a lot of money into equipment that helps us ensure your landscaping and home have the highest protection while you get your new roof!
