While we wait for the next few homes to be ready and the basement to be painted and have the flooring installed. We slide into another one, here we were going go tear out all the trim, flooring, countertops, and master shower.

Here’s a quick walk through of what the house looked like before we demoed it all.

Remember our first reel, we posted about a week agoo? Well we just finished the first project so it’s ready for stain and paint. On this one we set several door, cased the door a windows, ran some base, built a mantle and a few wainscoting walls. The real test was this massive beam and two columns though. We took the center section which was 2” wider than the outside runs and made it all the same size for this kick butt beam and colums.

Got back to the stairs this week to finish them up with some sleek black metal balusters. Our doors and cased opening had also been painted. We also got tasked with installing the partitions, some floating countertops, and some bathroom accessories to finish this space out.

After we loaded up from the stairs. We had an easy Friday. A client wasn’t happy with how the first carpenters trim turned out on their new island, so they reached out to see if we could help. After tearing it all off and getting some new boards we’re ready now for the countertop.

First photo is what the client sent me. Second and third are what it looks like now that we’re done.

We got the stairs all finished up with skirts boards, holes for balusters and finishing the floor cap. Now time for painters and then we’ll be back to install the metal balusters for the finishing touches.

We left the lakes and came back to town todo a little office. It has (11) doors, a single cased opening and a stairway.

A stairway you say? Yep, first time doing anything more than a plain hard rail by myself. Watch out things are starting to heat up over here and we’re beginning to get dangerous.

Forgot to post, when I was done at the lake cottage. The painters came in with a fury; my last day and started prepping right behind me. Happy with how this little area turned out in just a few short days we were there. Thanks again to the contractor and clients for trusting me todo this project.

Back in the lab again. On this one, we’re on Adams Lake in Wolcottville. This client took the space above their detached garage to make a living space for family and friends to stay when they come to the lake. They put two bedrooms and a “living room” setting to hang out at the end of a long fun day on the lake.

Couple days into the new year, but that’s what happens when you’re having fun. We ended the year strong with our biggest trim project yet. And are excited to continue the momentum into this year.

The job constisted of a breezeway from the house to the new garage addition with a 17x34 office space and currently an unfinished space upstairs.

The trim throughout the area was an eased edge for both the casings and base. Stairs received a simple handrail on the wall side with a null post, handrail and balusters on the other side. The office is the show piece of the area, here we used poplar 1x’s to make beams that created 21 equal square for our coffered ceiling that was stained.

Lastly thanks again to the contractor and client for having faith in us to complete another project for them.

Bathroom number two is in the books and finished. Thank you to my clients for entrusting me to bring your dream to reality. Also thank you to all my subs and help to get this one done.

We took the old unused tub an shower out and turned it into a nice new walk in shower. I’m super pleased with how everything turned out on this one and the clients are even happier.
