Bennett Logging 2013 Indiana Hardwood Lumbermen's Association "Loggers of the Year" Bennett Logging is owned and operated by Matt and Marc Bennett.

We are 4th generation loggers and are Licensed and bonded timber buyers. We were awarded 2013 "Loggers of the Year" by the Indiana Hardwood Lumbermen's Association for our continued dedication to following proper timber harvesting techniques. Trees are a renewable resource and need to be managed properly for future generations.

Wide forked veneer trees can split when the tops hit the ground, ruining the veneer log. Jered Vehling likes to get creative to keep that from happening.

Kiln dried walnut and white oak burl cookies. The big walnut didn't split at all in the kiln. The triple heart walnut cookies split a little. The White oak Burl cookies split quite a bit. Last picture is of a white oak burl cookie that has been dried and flattened. Cookies range from 3-3.5" with most of them being 3.25"
