Screening loam at one of our sites.

R.J. Grondin & Sons manufactures and sells sand, gravel, stone, loam, and recycled materials out of our pit and quarry locations, with delivery throughout Southern Maine. Screening on site means we control the product and can supply consistent material at volume for contractors, landscapers, and homeowners.

Rain hits these and goes straight down through them. No runoff and no pooling.

These are Stormcrete panels, precast porous concrete out of Gorham. We're using these for our Hale Trailer site as part of the stormwater system. They show up cured and ready, so you can set them and drive on them the same day. If you ever need to get at what's underneath, they lift right back out.

A lot more Glavel has gone down since we were here last. Plenty of hauling and compacting later, and we're getting close to finished grade at the FedEx site. 🚧

Take a look at the largest single job site we've worked in our 65 years.

Larry walks the 30-acre site and explains what's involved: a K-1 primary school and a 2-5 elementary school, geothermal wells serving both buildings, all new infrastructure, fields and parking, and a walking trail connecting to the Eastern Trail over Mill Brook.

How many monkeys could you grab with an excavator? It's harder than it looks.
AGC Maine students are making a game of sharpening real skills, and it's been good having the next generation train with us.

Thank you Team Grondin for making us one of the best places to work in Maine again in 2026.

Eyes in the sky at the former S**o Drive-In. Since breaking ground this summer, Team Grondin has been hard at work bringing this site to life for Hale Trailer's newest location.
