Meet Kordell – The A(CES)-Team's Murdock

Every team has that one guy who's willing to climb where nobody else will, crawl where nobody should, and somehow come back with a story that leaves everyone questioning both his sanity and his decision-making skills.

For ACES Wildlife Solutions, that's Kordell.

As our version of "Howling Mad" Murdock, Kordell brings equal parts determination, fearlessness, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. Whether he's tracking wildlife through impossible spaces, wrangling critters that have no intention of cooperating, or volunteering for the job everyone else suddenly remembers they're too busy to do, Kordell is always ready for the mission.

He's tackled everything from rabid raccoons to hard-to-reach wildlife problems, and when asked what wildlife sidekick he'd want, he chose a hawk lookoutβ€”because apparently having eyes in the sky sounds perfectly reasonable to him.

When he's not helping wildlife find a new address, Kordell spends his time sharpening his skills, improving his craft, and preparing for whatever wild situation comes next.

Fearless. Resourceful. Slightly unpredictable.
Every A(CES)-Team needs a Murdockβ€”and we're glad ours is Kordell. πŸ¦…πŸ¦πŸš

🦝 Tuesday Tips with Jimmy & Drake

Keep Raccoons Out of Your Trash!

Raccoons are smart, strong, and always on the lookout for an easy meal. If your garbage can smells like a free buffet, they’ll gladly stop by for dinnerβ€”and sometimes decide to stick around your property afterward.

A few simple ways to discourage raccoons:

βœ… Use trash cans with locking or tight-fitting lids
βœ… Store cans in a garage or shed until pickup day when possible
βœ… Put trash out the morning of collection instead of the night before
βœ… Double-bag food waste and rinse food containers before tossing them
βœ… Clean your trash cans regularly to reduce odors
βœ… Avoid leaving pet food, bird seed, or fallen fruit nearby

A little prevention goes a long way toward keeping raccoons from turning your yard into their favorite restaurant!

🐾 Have a persistent raccoon problem? ACES Wildlife Solutions can help identify what’s attracting them and provide safe, effective solutions.

🦊 More You Know Monday: Tennessee Foxes!

Did you know Tennessee is home to two native fox species?

πŸ”΄ Red Fox – Despite the name, they can be red, gray, black, or even silver! Red foxes are highly adaptable and are commonly found in both rural and suburban areas.

⚫ Gray Fox – One of the only members of the canine family that can climb trees! Gray foxes use their sharp claws to escape predators, rest, and even search for food.

Both fox species play an important role in the ecosystem by helping control populations of rodents, insects, and other small animals.

A fox spotted during the day isn't necessarily sick! During spring and summer, fox parents often spend daylight hours hunting to keep up with the demands of hungry kits.

🦊 The More You Know: If you see a fox in your yard, it's usually just passing through and helping keep nature in balance.

Meet the Team: Drake Callis

Every A(CES)-Team needs someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, tackle the tough jobs, and do whatever it takes to get the mission accomplished.

Meet Drake Callis β€” the A(CES)-Team's version of B.A. Baracus.

When wildlife has turned your attic into a disaster zone, your crawlspace into a raccoon resort, or your home into a squirrel playground, Drake is the guy you want showing up in the truck.

Known for his hard work, attention to detail, and determination to get the job done right, Drake thrives on solving the problems that leave most homeowners scratching their heads. Whether he's tracking down an entry point, performing repairs, or making sure wildlife stays out for good, he approaches every job with one goal: fixing the problem the right way.

While the rest of the team may spend time planning, marketing, or creating chaos, Drake is usually the one out in the field making things happen.

Special Skills:
πŸ”¨ Exclusion & Repairs
🦝 Wildlife Removal
🏠 Finding the problem behind the problem

Fun Fact: Drake firmly believes that every successful wildlife company should own a helicopter. The rest of the team ( witht he exception of Jimmy) approves this business plan.

πŸ“‹ Plan the Job.
πŸ”§ Execute the Plan.
βœ… Expect Success.

Drake Callis β€” The Muscle of the A(CES)-Team, the Master of Getting Things Done, and the man most likely to suggest solving a wildlife problem with heavy equipment and a helicopter. 🚁🦝πŸ’ͺ

πŸ‘‡ Have you worked with Drake before? Tell us about your experience in the comments! We'd love to hear what stood out most about working with him.
