1. Insulate any exposed pipes

2. Disconnect hose pipes from outside hydrants

3. Make sure all vents and crawl space doors are closed

4. Leave a faucet dripping in the house overnight

5. Maintain warm indoor temperatures

6. Leave kitchen sink and bathroom sink cabinet doors open
