It was a long night for our crews and our members as storms moved through our service territory, but our dedicated teams worked through the night in some of the most unideal conditions to safely restore power to all affected members. ⚡️👏
The photo below captures some of the incredible linemen who worked through the night, but it certainly doesn’t include everyone who played a part. Many were still working, while others had been sent home to get some much-needed rest after a long night. To every crew member, support employee and team working behind the scenes alongside our frontline employees — thank you. Your hard work, coordination and commitment made a difference.
To our members, thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this long night. We know being without power is never easy, and we truly appreciate your support as our crews worked to get everyone restored.
And to our linemen and everyone who stood beside them — three cheers for you! 👏👏👏

Our linemen are continuing to work to restore power to the remaining 351 meter outages.

Update 10:30 PM: Progress is being made as the number of meters without power drops to 1,900. Our linemen will continue their efforts until every member has been restored. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to get everyone back online.

8/27/26 7:35 PM: We’re thankful for the much-needed rainfall moving across the GVEC service area, but the storms have also caused some pop-up power outages. Right now, our linemen are working to resolve outages affecting a little over 2,000 meters.
