10 weeks. 24 hours a day. 7 days a week.

Our Lenovo Center project team recently hosted a BBQ trade partner appreciation lunch to thank the crews who have helped keep this project moving around the clock. With most crews working 12-hour shifts, their dedication and commitment have been critical to the project’s progress.

The team enjoyed lunch together, gave away nearly 30 raffle prizes, and handed out “Blitz Crew” hats to commemorate the incredible effort that went into the Summer Blitz.

A special thank you to our Tri-Venture partners, Blum Construction and Metcon, Inc., for helping make the event possible, and to all our trade partners and crews for the long hours, hard work, and dedication you’ve put in over the past 10 weeks. We couldn’t do it without you!

Last month, in collaboration with Edwards Inc., who provided crane services, and Martin Marietta, who donated the 5.5-ton rock, we helped place Hope Middle School's new spirit rock in Greenville, North Carolina.

It’s exciting to see the rock come to life—painted by the school's Art Teacher and ready to welcome students back! We’re thankful to be part of this community and proud to help create a place where students can celebrate their school spirit for years to come.

Strong leadership starts with doing things the right way.

For Charlie Fuller, President of Civil Infrastructure, that means building more than successful projects — it means building trust, strong relationships, and a culture of collaboration.

It’s an approach that continues to guide our teams and the work we do every day.

TA Loving recently completed an emergency structural repair project at Wake County Public School System's Durant Road Elementary, helping to prepare the school for the 2026–27 school year.

After being contacted on July 8 regarding critical structural repairs, our team was awarded the project and received notice to proceed on July 16. Work began the following morning. Over the next 20 days, the project team completed structural repairs at 145 locations throughout the school, reinforcing existing CMU walls with rebar, with some areas reaching 35 feet in height.

Through close coordination with our engineering team and trade partners, the work was completed safely and efficiently. The project received its Certificate of Occupancy on August 6 — four days ahead of our committed completion date.

Students and staff temporarily relocated to Abbotts Creek Elementary while repairs were underway before returning to Durant Road Elementary on August 17. We welcomed the staff back with a Chick-fil-A breakfast as they put their classrooms back together and prepared to welcome students.

We are especially grateful to the trade partners who jumped in and were ready to help when we called: Brock Contract Services, Precision Walls, Inc., L.L. Vann Electric, Inc., Steel Technology, Inc., Manning Masonry Inc, and KEA Contracting. The strong relationships we have built with these partners allowed us to quickly assemble a team ready to mobilize and get to work.

Thank you to our team members Tommy Rutledge, Garrett Arnette, Seth Amidon, Chase McDonald, and everyone who contributed to the successful completion of this project.

In July, we celebrated Linn Moore’s retirement with a BBQ lunch surrounded by his family and TA Loving coworkers.

After more than three decades with TA Loving, Linn leaves behind an incredible career. He has led dozens of healthcare projects and was instrumental in the delivery of athletics venues across North Carolina, along with many other projects throughout his career. He brought the same philosophy to every project: “Plan the work and work the plan.”

Outside of construction, Linn has been an accomplished drummer since his teenage years, playing in country and rock bands and sharing the stage with more than a few well-known names in the music business.

Linn is especially proud of his children, Daniel, a Superintendent with TA Loving, and Sonya, an Assistant Principal at Martin Millennium Academy. He and his wife of more than 46 years, Terri, are now enjoying more time with family and friends and spoiling their three grandchildren, Aiden, Sydney, and Sophie.

Congratulations on your retirement, Linn! We’re grateful for the more than 30 years you’ve given to TA Loving and are glad we could celebrate this milestone with you and your family.

Safe work or no work!

Recently during our Lunch & Learn in Fayetteville we had a great training and conversation about the importance of always having spotters in place when moving heavy equipment.

Our crews were engaged and enthusiastic. Safety is a team effort. Thank you for your continued commitment to keeping one another safe!

Building a strong industry starts with meaningful conversations.

We’re proud to have TA Loving CEO Ty Edmondson join John Cooper, Founder and CEO of Cooper Tacia General Contractors, and other construction leaders at the Ward and Smith Construction Conference to discuss the future of our industry. The panel explored topics including workforce development, leadership, innovation, risk management, and the importance of investing in people.

While every company brings a unique perspective, one message was clear: our industry’s greatest asset is the people who build it every day. At TA Loving, we’re committed to delivering quality work, investing in our teams, and collaborating with industry partners to help move construction forward.

Thank you to Ward and Smith for hosting this important conversation and to Cooper Tacia General Contractors for sharing valuable insights.

We’re honored to be part of the discussion.
