Who would’ve thought getting 60 chickens PT tested in this heat would be so exhausting 😓 I’m glad we did it in the morning.

I have a couple of fantastic males available, as well as a few 2-3 year old females I’m probably going to retire. Priority dibs for the females will be to someone who will take a male with them. They aren’t (closely) related. These will all be BBS.

My lavenders are taking their time to grow! I’m not ready to place any yet. They need another month or so to grow and fill in. If you’re looking for one I can put you on a contact list.

Man, this guy is maturing well too. I’m really impressed. Not quite sure if I’ll offer him yet. I’m still watching him 🙂...

Hey everyone, I’m going to be on the hunt for a nice lavender boy, less than two years old. Must have good wings and type. I’ll be looking for a good outcross so I’ll be looking for parentage from different lines than the babies I’m currently growing out (my first Gen lavender breeding).

I’ll be happy to trade a cockerel for a cockerel too 😁 If you want to do an outcross boy trade I’m game. Or I’ll just buy one, totally up to you.

Message me with pics if you have anything. If you’re farther than driving distance I’ll arrange transport. I had a close call with Post Office last year and have heard too many horror stories this year, I’m not trusting shipping for lives right now.

Another young blue boy. MIGHT have a loose wing, but still a little early to call; the shredding is less on the wing in question so it could just be the weight of the primaries while he builds muscle to hold it right. If you need type he should fill out beautifully. He has good feet.

My feed store randomly got a pallet of Henhouse Reserve in (they don’t usually carry Kalmbach) so I decided to just see how the chickens reacted to it. First they all thought it was poison. Then a few brave hens decided to give it a try. Now they are all super happy. I’ll probably stick with Flock Maker crumbles but I’ll probably keep a bag on henhouse for chicken treats since everyone got so excited about it.
