As Childhood Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a day that means so much to our family. 💛

These photos were taken at Peds in the Weeds, hosted by Advocate Children’s Hospital. The event gives children and families affected by cancer a day to step away from treatment and simply enjoy being together, with games, activities, special visitors, and plenty of moments made just for kids.

Our Effective Air family was grateful to take part, spend time with these incredible families, and support an event that creates so much joy.

September may be ending, but our commitment to supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer continues year-round.

Behind Effective Air is a family story that changed us forever. 💛

During an important season of growth for the company, Ashley’s younger sister was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer. As she fought for her life, the family leaned on one another to care for her while continuing to care for the customers who depended on them.

She passed away in 2003, but her impact never left. Her life brought the Effective Air family closer, strengthened the company, and helped shape the compassion behind the way we serve others today.

She will always be part of who we are.

This cause has a deeply personal connection to our family and to the dragonfly in our logo. During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re proud to continue honoring that story by supporting children and families facing this disease.
