I was just three months out of high school, getting ready for work, when the news showed what was happening at the World Trade Center. Like so many people, I remember exactly where I was and the feeling of watching that day unfold.

It was a somber dayโ€”one that none of us should ever forget.

Apparently, AI has gotten so convincing that we now have a new problem at Instant Plumbing.

Customers have been hanging up because they think the person answering our phone is AI. We've even had customers ask our plumbers once they're at the house, โ€œIs the person who answers your phone real... or is she an AI bot?โ€

You shouldnโ€™t have to!

Something as simple as the chain, flapper or another component inside the tank may need attention.

Your toilet shouldn't require a special technique to flush.

HMMMMMMMMM.

First things first: turn it back off.

A disposal that hums but doesn't spin may be jammed. The motor is receiving power and trying to operate, but something is preventing the grinding components from moving.

Continuing to run it that way can make matters worse.

And please don't reach your hand into the disposal to investigate. Even with the switch off, that's not where fingers belong. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Sometimes a jam can be cleared. Other times, the disposal has reached the end of its useful life.
